There is a large number of tiles sitting on the surface of the SU. As the SU was excavated, fewer tiles were noted within the soil matrix at its deepest limits. Possible explanation is a prolonged collapse event with a final full collapse towards the ends of the event. Possibly taking place over hours or even over weeks. Pottery/Ceramics and most finds (bone, slag, nails, glass) found at/near bottom of SU, at level of the lower most tile. (ELM, CF, MP, CB)
