Medieval skeleton inside a shallow (?) burial (10170) bounded on its northern extent by small, rounded limestones. The southern limit may have also been bounded by stones - a few remain - but these may have been removed with 10141, an accumulation of tile and stones in the western side of TR_2A, which did not have any apparent alignment when excavated. We assume the skeleton is Medieval like the others we have found on site because it is found high up in our stratigraphy under 10139, a deposit we associated with the occupation/use of the Medieval church. The person would have been buried under the floor of the church's nave, possibly suggesting that it was a person of importance to the church or the community. We removed the leg bone of the skeleton before realizing it was human and that we likely had uncovered a burial. Fragments of the skull were uncovered to the SW. We do not plan to excavate the burial.
