While excavating 10139, the team discovered a leg bone, which we realized after removing was most likely human. Further exploration revealed fragments of human skull to the SW, and an alignment of small, rounded limestones in the northern bulk wall, which most likely represents the northern wall of the burial. No cut is visible, and we will not be excavating to find one, but we suspect that the burial was built into a cut in 10166 and filled with 10170 after the body (10168) was laid to rest. The burial was possibly placed under the floor of the church in the nave, indicating this was probably a person of importance to the church or the local community.
