This deposit is the fill of a cut (SU 15024) into SU 15004. The deposit is rich in anthropic materials, including many ceramics and a mix of animal bone and human bone. The material appears to be predominantly Roman. Based on its position in the sequence we believe this deposit to represent a late (recent) activity on site, where a cut was made and filled with soil from nearby, which happened to contain primarily Roman materials. This interpretation is primarily based on the fact that the deposit is later than 15004, which clearly contains Medieval materials.
