This layer is a little difficult to excavate due to thunderstorms on the night of 24 July flooding the sondage. The changes to the soil due to the water have made this context darker than it appeared last Friday and it is not friable. The soil is very clay- like today and clumping together. With rare inclusions, this layer seems to be an interface layer very few (if any) indications of its mode of deposition. (ELM, CB, MP)
