A strata of darker grey-brown earth in northern sector of area with mix of small to medium weathered tiles and brick and small to medium stones displaced from walls. A piece of plastic (shotgun shell?) was found while excavating layer, suggesting that we are still in a mix of interface and plough soil. Layer covered lighter yellow-brown interface to east and a brown strata with a mix of tile and stone, which stretched across the western sector. (RGV)
