This occupation layer was carefully removed with pickaxe, shovel, and trowel to expose the pebbled surface 16031 beneath. 16026 was comprised of loose silty soil that presented very low clay content. Tile was stilll frequently evident, likely from the previous layer 16022. Ceramic, bone, were medium but at noticibly higher rates than previous Su's of this unit. 16026 was easily removed, exposing a well preserved pebble surface underneath. (CF, HU, KD)
