SU 16031 is a pebble surface that is well preserved in the southern portion of RANEQ but less well preserved in the northern areas. Ceramics, bone, and glass were all recovered at medium rates. Tile was still present but in much reduced numbers to 16026. One bronze coin, SF 124, was also recovered while removing this layer. Small plaster patches were noted, leaving us to suspect that SU 16031 was bound together by plaster. Removing 16031 was fairly easy with pickaxe and shovel. The soil underneath present a new SU 16034, subfloor. (KD, CWF, HU)
