Stone column base (ionic?); rounded base on square plinth. Carved from red conglomerate stone similar to end stones of walls in 17000 (17002 and 17012) and 16000, as well as RPP pier (10060) to the Southeast and MAP pier (16036). Butted by 17027 (strange, dark soil suggestive of cut around column) and 17044; probably in phase with pebble surface 17052. Covers shallow foundation 17059.
